Highway Issues in Suffolk

You can report a highways issue in Suffolk quickly and easily online. Find out how using Suffolk County Council's  Highways Reporting Tool.

This Highways Reporting Tool allows you to report a new defect and monitor the status of existing reports.

Do not report a highways problem online if:

  • it poses an immediate danger to public safety - call 0345 606 6171. Read more about Highways Emergencies
  • it’s on a trunk road in Suffolk - call the Highways England Information Line on 0300 123 5000
  • it's on a private road

Problems that can be reported by using the the Highways Reporting Tool are as follows:

  • Blocked drain
  • Bridge or highway structure
  • Cycle lanes or tracks
  • Drain-manhole cover
  • Debris, weeds or mud on the road
  • Empty salt grit bin
  • Flooding on a road or pavement
  • Heavy goods vehicle incident
  • Grass cutting
  • Lit sign or bollard
  • Missing or damaged barriers or guardrails
  • Missing or faded road markings
  • Obscured, missing or damaged sign
  • Pothole
  • Pavement defect
  • Public right of way
  • Road junction problem
  • Street light
  • Traffic signal or pedestrian crossing
  • Tree or hedge affecting the highway
